EyeDentification Film Group is dedicated to examining the work of relevant artists with the purpose of evaluating their perspective, testing the writer’s point of view, and analyzing key concepts that affect our own.

The Film Review
The EyeDentification Film Group only intends to view and discuss movies with relevant principles or events that either impact the present, or have a potential impact. The intention of this film group is to assess work not only for its artistic merit, but also the importance of its message as society is concerned. A student is expected to leave the discussion with a comprehensive knowledge of what was viewed, and the ability to critically assess the piece beyond basic recollection, achieving an actual understanding of the concepts presented by the writer and the direction of the film. To best streamline thoughts and fulfill the intention, each session will be divided into three segments.

Segment One: Introduction
At the start of the program, the film will be introduced to group along with relevant information that concerns the writer and director, the time of filming, if the piece is fiction or non-fiction or based on a previous work. The introduction will be short and just give a base from which the members can easily understand what they may be looking for.

Segment Two: Watch Film
In the second segment, when time permits, the film will be viewed in one sitting, uninterrupted.

Segment Three: Discussion of Relevant Concepts and Opinions
In the final phase of the review, viewers will discuss the major or minor concepts of the film as they relate to us collectively and individually. Viewers will also have the opportunity to assess whether or not the film successfully said what it intended to, if its purpose is still relevant to the present conditions, or if it needs an update.

Purpose: EyeDentification Film Group intends to expose its members to films that have a direct relationship with their environment, whether in the events portrayed/depicted or in the principles involved to first increase awareness and second to hopefully create the conditions for the members to become future artists themselves.
